Pols Avoid Issues
In the upcoming elections the pols/politicians who are seeking office have relied on generic party slogans which maybe are safe but do not face the needs in our present era. In my opinion they depend on the public too much and promise to do too little. Their idea is to keep repeating themes like lower taxes until we believe it.
The issues the Pols avoid are rather obvious, at least to me, and they do not bother because they have nothing to say.
Here are some of those issues:
1. Crime/adult (still rising)
2. Cirme/youth (alarming)
3. Taxation of social security benefits (why?)
4. Entitlements (more pork)
5. Disaster Relief (no plan)
6. Campaign Reform Funding (money talks)
7. Term Limits (good enough for President)
8. Military/Pentegon Funding (way out of hand)
9.Oversight (like our parents had)
10.Transperancy (to tell the truth)
These are not new issues. They have been around forever, and no party or no candidate has taken a meaningful stand.
National and State party platforms used to be public and newsworthy. Now the candidate wears the label but does not always recommend buying the product.
In the legal system legislators pass laws making mediation mandatory, at a cost, which is ok for the litigators but not for the legislators.
