I wanted to thank all of you for reading this blog and posting comments over the past two years. I have always believed that our society benefits when our government crafts public policy that includes everyone and silences no one. Having this outlet and providing a place for conversation about the future of our state has been a great honor.
It’s also been a great honor to serve you, the constituents of the 5th Senate District, over the past four years. Together, we made your health care prices more transparent; we passed comprehensive drunk driving reform legislation and did a complete overhaul of the payday lending industry.
While this blog and my term as a senator are coming to a close, I want to let you know that my efforts to keep this community great will not cease. As a father of two young boys who have spent their whole lives in Wauwatosa, I will continue to advocate for the best district in the state—the home of State Fair Park, the Milwaukee Brewers, and the future UWM Engineering Campus— so that my sons, and all of our children, can enjoy a prosperous, vibrant community for years to come.
On that note, I urge you to keep up the comments—not only on blogs like these, but in legislative hearings, city council meetings, and with our neighbors. It’s up to all of us to make sure the government hears our voices and keeps fighting for our families.
Best wishes, and blessings for your family’s holiday season and the New Year.
