Cindy moved to Brookfield in 1994 with her husband and three children in tow. It's been a very interesting seventeen years.
It's the third week of the month, so there is a Common Council meeting on Tuesday. In addition there are several committee meetings. Unfortunately, the agenda is not on the City's website yet. There are a slew of liquor licenses. There is a change to the 2035 Master Plan for the Northeast Corridor.
There's the appointment of Dean Marquardt the Landfill Moratorium Committee. That's an interesting turn of events as I wasn't aware of an opening on that committee. Oh, and the committee never meets. But you know, I'm sure if they ever actually get around to talking about the landfill and The Shire and all that stuff, Dean will be the Man.
Someone better start talking about it, because the moratorium will need to be renewed again soon. Well, at least placed on the agenda for discussion. Gosh, do I have a ton of information to share with you guys about that landfill and the developer wanting to continue his development next to it. I've got maps, and reports, and everything!
Bet you can't wait, huh?
By the way, last week I missed telling you about this little note from Elmbrook School District to their board members regarding important board issues for next year. The much anticipated decision for 4K should be up in January. You know. Right after all those signatures are due for the candidates that will be on the April 2012 ballots. Meg Wartman and Jean Lambert are up then.
