School Spotlight

Whether you're on your way to the library or stopping by City Hall, chances are you're driving by St. John Vianney School, located in the heart of Brookfield. This blog will provide insight into life and education at SJV, a 4K-8 educational anchor in Brookfield since 1957.

Children’s Author Visits St. John Vianney School

On Wednesday October 20th, published children’s author and SJV parent Sara Laux Akin visited St. John Vianney School’s four-year-old kindergarten class.  She read her recently released children’s book, Three Scoops and a Fig.   The children participated in an interactive reading session as they learned the basic ‘ingredients’ for writing a story.  My 5 year old son participated in this interactive, fun and yummy session.  He just loved it!  The intended audience for this book is children ages K-3rd grade.  To learn more about this book, the author, or to schedule a school visit, please see her website at  www.saralauxakin.com.
