Kyle and her husband moved to Brookfield in 1986. She became active in local politics and started blogging in 2004. Her focus is primarily on local issues but often includes state and national topics, too. Kyle looks at things from the taxpayers' perspective in a creative, yet down to earth way, addressing them from a practical point of view.
Now that Obama is the Democrat's candidate, there has been a lot of sashaying to the right. Be it gun rights, I was for Iraq before I was against it, wear the flag pin, dump your pastor, or you fill in the blank, the shift to center is on. He is even reaching out to Evangelicals. One shift was to the faith based initiatives, "a split with Democratic orthodoxy."
One position I don't think he can walk away from is his vote against comfort measures for botched aborted babies.
I honestly don't think he knows what his positions are. He is the classic example of what the poll cited as politicians only interested in ambition.
No one should say they are surprised though, his campaign slogan is "Change" after all! ;-)
