Practically Speaking

Kyle and her husband moved to Brookfield in 1986. She became active in local politics and started blogging in 2004. Her focus is primarily on local issues but often includes state and national topics, too. Kyle looks at things from the taxpayers' perspective in a creative, yet down to earth way, addressing them from a practical point of view.

Darwin's theory of revolution 200 years later

Creation Science / Intelligent Design, Culture, Pro Life / Pro Abortion

No, that isn't a typo. It is what Charles Darwin's theory of Evolution resulted in: a revolution of society. Relativism. Man is little more than animal. Life is cheap. There is no God. etc.

If we are not created in God's image, but were a result of random accidental occurances over billions of years, then we are the masters of our own fate. We are answerable to no one.

What you think is right for you is your truth. What I think is right is my truth. Truth is relative. There are no absolutes; we are just an accident of nature. This thinking affects people's attitudes toward abortion, embryonic stem cell use and research, organ donation, euthanasia.

If I asked you who won The Scopes trial in the ???? aka the Monkey trial the right to teach creation or evolution, most would say the Christian lost. That would be incorrect. Yet we act like it is correct.

Today, because of scientific breakthroughs and better data, the "facts" presented at the Scopes trial as proof for evolution have been proved false. Yet we see our public schools and even some parochial schools adhering to evolution as if there is no longer any doubt.

If we do not acknowledge that we have a creator, how can we demand our rights that were endowed to us by our creator that all men are created equal? That we have the right to Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? When life is cheap, anything goes. I call that revolutionary.
