Helping others by helping themselves

Through Operation Rice Bowl, the SJV students and their families, along with parishioners, had an opportunity to pray for and directly assist the poor in the U.S. and overseas. Each family kept a cardboard 'bowl' on their table and collected money. The box was accompanied by stories of people in other countries, including their joys and sorrows.  Contributions support Catholic Relief Services and the Vincent Family Center in Milwaukee run by the St. Vincent de Paul Society.  Donations topped $2,800 this year.
