Lauren Elizabeth Walter of Elm Grove and W. Zach Hallum of Cleveland, Ohio, are planning a May 15, 2011, wedding at Brookfield Christian Reformed Church.
Parents of the couple are Charlie and Cathy Walter of Elm Grove and Don and Julie Hallum of Cleveland.
The bride-to-be earned her bachelor's degree in nutrition from Case Western Reserve University in 2009 and expects to earn her doctorate in optometry in 2013 from the Illinois College of Optometry, where she is a research assistant.
The future groom earned his bachelor's degree aerospace engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 2009. He expects to earn his master's degree in aerospace engineering, nuclear propulsion, from Purdue University in 2012.
The couple became engaged Nov. 24, 2010, in Cleveland.
