City of Brookfield

THEFT

1An employee of Aldo Shoe Store in Brookfield Square Mall, 95 N. Moorland Road, reported at 2:12 p.m. Jan. 3 that a woman had taken three gold rosaries from the store.

2An unknown man took liquor and pet food from Pick 'n Save, 17295 W. Capitol Drive, on three occasions between Dec. 14 and Dec. 30. Total loss is estimated at $1,659.

3Two unlocked cars in the 13000 block of North Avenue were broken into Jan. 5. A Global Positioning System unit and $20 in cash were taken.

4A GPS unit was taken from a car in the 200 block of Fiserv Drive on Jan. 5. A window was broken to gain entry.

5A 21-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man, both from East Troy, were cited for retail theft at 1:50 p.m. Jan. 7 for taking a $500 vacuum cleaner and a pair of slippers from Sears, 115 S. Moorland Road.

6A GPS unit was taken from a car in the 13000 block of Bishops Lane on Jan. 7. A window was broken to gain entry.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

7A 50-year-old Brookfield man was arrested for a fourth offense of drunken driving in the 15000 block of Brentwood Drive at 11:47 p.m. Jan. 4 when police responded to a report that he was violating a restraining order. He was taken to a hospital for a blood draw. He was also cited for bail jumping, violating a court order and violating a harassment injunction.

8A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for a second offense of drunken driving on 145th Street at Lisbon Road at 3:34 a.m. Jan. 9. He was stopped for driving 72 mph in a 35 mph zone. His blood alcohol content was 0.12.

OTHER

9A man in the 2800 block of Berwick Court reported Jan. 3 that a letter from his bank appeared to have been forcibly opened.

10A jogger in the 4600 block of 149th Street reported that she was attacked by a yellow lab at 5:48 p.m. Jan. 4. The dog tripped her and bit her leg. The case was referred to Elmbrook Humane Society.

11A man reported striking an owl with his car on 186th Street at Burleigh Road at 6:44 p.m. Jan. 6. He said the owl was stunned so he took it with him in his car. Elmbrook Human Society was contacted.

12A 32-year-old Belgium man was cited for disorderly conduct after punching a man at Brookfield Suites, 1200 S. Moorland Road, at 9:04 p.m. Jan. 6. He was upset that his ex-girlfriend was with the victim.

13A former employee of Sears, 115 S. Moorland Road, threatened to blow up the business because the auto center refused him service Jan. 5. He was counseled about making threatening statements.

14A 2-year-old girl was accidentally locked inside a car at Sears, 115 S. Moorland Road, at 12:43 p.m. Jan. 8. The car was unlocked within five minutes.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

15A 17-year-old Waukesha boy was cited for violating the absolute sobriety law for minor drivers on Davidson Road at Kossow Road at 3:10 a.m. Jan. 1. His BAC was 0.18. He was also cited for possession of alcohol by a minor.

THEFT

16Three televisions worth $1,147 were reported stolen Jan. 3 from K-Mart, 18200 W. Bluemound Road.

Village of Elm Grove

DRUNKEN DRIVING

17A 50-year-old Brookfield man was cited for drunken driving on Bluemound Road at Beaumont Avenue at 12:24 a.m. Jan. 9. He was stopped for lane deviation. His BAC was 0.14.

OTHER

18An officer found a 34-year-old Greendale man lying on the 124th Street bridge at Bluemound Road at 12:39 p.m. Jan. 4. He had jumped from a vehicle traveling 30 mph. He fled the scene, but Wauwatosa police took him into custody a short time later.
