Bank Mutual ribbon cutting celebrates local branch
Bank Mutual held a ribbon cutting this month for its Brookfield bank office at 17100 W. Capitol Drive. Members of Brookfield government and the chamber of commerce attended. Bank Mutual has had a location in Brookfield Square mall since 1975, and the Capitol Drive location was acquired in a merger in 1988.
"Bank Mutual has been a fixture in Brookfield for decades, so we felt it was time to continue our commitment to the community and reinvest in this bank office," stated David Baumgarten, president of Bank Mutual, in a news release. "We are proud to serve our Brookfield area neighbors with this updated and improved bank office."
Milwaukee/NARI council announces officers, directors
The Milwaukee Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry has announced the election of the following officers and directors for 2012.
Executive officers are Dave Amoroso of Ron Sonntag Public Relations, president; Dan Riedel of Woller-Anger & Co., vice president 1; David Pekel of Pekel Construction & Remodeling, vice president 2; Greg Adamec of Milwaukee Millwork, vice president 3; Bill Wandsnider of Wandsnider Landscape, treasurer; Susan Montie of Advanced Communication Specialists, secretary; and Diane Krueger of Carl Krueger Construction, Immediate Past President.
The following people were elected to three year-terms on the Board of Directors: Josh Brown of Bliffert Lumber & Fuel Co., Ryan Fillinger of A. Fillinger, Chris Holum of Kohler Co., David Markwiese of Nationwide Floor & Window Coverings and John Phillips of The Cabinet Maker.
In addition, Dan Callies of Oak Creek Plumbing was elected to fulfill the remaining two-year term of Greg Adamec, while Jim Klappa as elected to fulfill the remaining one-year term for Susan Montie.
Steve Miazga, business development manager, of R.A. Smith National - a multi-disciplined civil engineering and surveying firm - Brookfield, Wis., will serve as co-chair for the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) 2012 CenterBuild Conference. The 2012 conference will be held November 28-30 in Phoenix. Miazga has served on the CenterBuild Program Planning Committee since 2003 and has previously served in leadership roles at the sub-committee level for the conference.
As business development manager at R.A. Smith National, Miazga's responsibilities include corporate business development planning and implementation, strategic alliances and new markets development in the public and private sectors. Miazga's expertise includes pre-development planning for major land development projects across the country, infrastructure design and assisting clients with land development issues.
Miazga has a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering with an emphasis on transportation and land development planning from University of Wisconsin-Madison. He lives in Pewaukee, Wis.
