City of Brookfield

THEFT

1A license plate was taken off a vehicle in the 3100 block of Gateway Road before 10:38 a.m. March 5.

2A wedding ring valued at $53,000 was taken from a home in the 2500 block of Brook Springs Drive before 9:49 a.m. March 6. An employee with a cleaning company is suspected in the theft.

3Two Milwaukee women, ages 35 and 53, were arrested for taking merchandise at JCPenney inside Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 5:26 p.m. March 7.

4Fourteen cans of baby formula valued at $224 were taken from Target, 12725 W. Bluemound Road, at 6:02 p.m. Three women fled the store with the formula. The vehicle and its license plate were captured on surveillance video.

5Two Wauwatosa girls, ages 14 and 16, were arrested for taking merchandise at The Buckle inside Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 6:36 p.m. March 7. The girls were arrested a second time, at 8:28 p.m., for threatening a store employee. Mall security filled out paperwork banning the girls from entering the mall in the future.

6A 20-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for taking merchandise valued at $3,452 at Things Engraved inside Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 2:52 p.m. March 8. The woman, an employee at the time of the offense, had engraved the items without authorization and attempted to sell them on Craigslist and Facebook.

7A ring valued at $70 was taken at a home in the 15900 block of Gebhardt Road before 11:09 p.m. March 8. A friend of a family member is suspected of the theft.

8A woman's wallet was taken at the food court inside Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 5:37 p.m. March 9. The woman briefly walked away from the table she was sitting at; when she returned, the wallet was gone.

9A 43-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for taking a shopping cart filled with merchandise at Sendiks, 2315 N. 124th St., at 7:17 p.m. March 9.

10A wallet and portable media player were taken from a backpack at a home in the 18300 block of Surrey Lane before 1:39 p.m. March 10. A friend of a family member is suspected of the theft.

DRUG POSSESSION

11A 32-year-old Brookfield man was arrested for possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia at Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 12:28 p.m. March 8. The man injected a dosage of the drug into his system in a bathroom stall inside the mall.

VANDALISM

12Profane words were written with deodorant and ketchup on a vehicle in the 19800 block of Foxkirk Court before 11:21 p.m. March 8.

13A yard in the 600 block of South Calhoun Road was damaged after a vehicle drove through areas and created ruts before 3:53 p.m. March 10. The property owner had a hub cap from the suspected vehicle in his possession when he called police.

OTHER

14A 28-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia near Barker Road and Enterprise Avenue at 4:10 p.m. March 5. Police found a marijuana grinder in the man's vehicle during a search.

Police made three arrests related to domestic violence incidents last week.

Village of Elm Grove

VANDALISM

15A 23-year-old Sturtevant woman was arrested for being involved in a hit-and-run accident near Bluemound and Sunnyslope roads at 10:09 p.m. March 8. The woman struck a vehicle and fled the scene, but was quickly apprehended by Elm Grove police after the victim provided a description of the vehicle. Police found marijuana on the woman, and she also was arrested for the offense.

OTHER

16A 27-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for disorderly conduct near Moorland and Bluemound roads at 8:26 p.m. March 7. The woman was yelling obscenities at another motorist and caused a disturbance.
