City of Brookfield
1An unlocked truck in the 600 block of Sunnyslope Road was entered between 4:30 and 5:10 p.m. Feb. 11, and $500 worth of electronics, DVDs and change were reported taken.
2A man is suspected of taking razors, razor refills, condoms and K-Y Jelly from Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, about midnight Feb. 12, and of stealing merchandise on two other occasions.
3A man was arrested for identity theft at Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, about 1:30 p.m. Feb. 12 after he tried to buy items from Buckle with a fraudulent credit card.
4Two men are suspected of taking two iPhones and a Samsung Zoom phone, a value of $1,729, from AT&T, 3825 N. 124th St., about 2:30 p.m. Feb. 12.
5A Brookfield woman said three of her credit cards were taken from her purse at Panera, 15040 W. Greenfield Ave., between 12:38 and 2:55 p.m. Feb. 12. She said the cards showed $4,000 in fraudulent charges near Mayfair Mall, and she canceled the cards.
6A man was cited about 3:30 p.m. Feb. 13 for theft after taking video games and DVDs from the storage room where he worked at Target, 12725 W. Bluemound Road, and pawning them at Game Stop stores.
7A woman was arrested on three warrants for retail theft after she was seen running from Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, "popping tags" and running into the woods across the street about 9:15 p.m. Feb. 14.
8A snowblower was taken from a garage in the 20100 block of Glenoaks Drive between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Feb. 14. There also was medication missing from a bedroom.
9A patient at Brookfield Rehabilitation & Specialty Care, 18740 W. Bluemound Road, was cited for smoking in an in-patient healthcare facility about 5:30 p.m. Feb. 10.
10A parent in the 4100 block of Alpine Circle called police about 5:45 p.m. Feb. 10 because his son was disrespectful and argumentative when his mother took away his phone, told him to stop playing video games and told him to help around the house. Police advised the son to follow the rules of the house.
11A woman who tried to pay for gas at BP, 12402 W. Capitol Drive, with a counterfeit $20 bill about 7:45 p.m. Feb. 10 said she got the bill from Target in Wauwatosa when she requested cash back on a transaction using her debit card.
12A girl in the 4200 block of Beaufort Drive threatened her mother with a pole after her mother tried to take her cellphone about 10 p.m. Feb. 10. The girl said her mother and grandfather could fight her for it. She then calmed down.
13Police received numerous calls about a doe with an arrow in her head, with a resident in the 2400 block of Eastwood Lane calling about 7 a.m. Feb. 11 to say a coyote was eating it in her backyard. The Brookfield Highway Department was contacted to pick it up, although the coyotes were "already getting to it," according the police report.
14A New Berlin man told police his father-in-law hit him with his vehicle in a parking lot in the 1500 block of Commerce Avenue about 10 a.m. Feb. 11. He said he was going through a bitter divorce.
15A Milwaukee man was arrested for disorderly conduct at Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, about 7 p.m. Feb. 11 after he was seen throwing shopping carts in the parking lot and screaming at random people that he would kill them. He did not have any visible weapons but was holding a bottle of tequila.
16A man came to the police station, 2100 N. Calhoun Road, with a shell in his car that he believed to be real, with a fuse on the tip, about 2:45 p.m. Feb. 12. The device was removed by the Milwaukee Police Department bomb squad.
17A student at Wisconsin Hills Middle School, 18700 W. Wisconsin Ave., threw another student to the ground about 7:45 a.m. Feb. 13. The student was warned he would be cited if it happened again.
18Cellphone videos show a student at Brookfield Central High School, 16900 Gebhardt Road, punching another student near the gym after a basketball game about 8:45 p.m. Feb. 13. The student was suspended.
19A black woman said she thought she was racially profiled at Sally Beauty, 12455 W. Capitol Drive, Feb. 13 when she was accused of taking hair dye and told to turn out her pockets, which did not have any merchandise in them. Police said the employee was within her right to confront the woman if she thought she had concealed an item.
20A bat was reported in Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, near Sears about 6 p.m. Feb. 15. Police told mall security they would have to call a private pest control company to have it removed.
Town of Brookfield
21Several items were taken from Russ's Mulch & Top Soil, 1500 Springdale Road, between 1 and 4 p.m. Feb. 10, including a $650 computer, $165 in extension cords, a $350 leafblower, $500 worth of tools and two car batteries valued at $400.
Village of Elm Grove
22Employees at Walgreens, 15350 W. Bluemound Road, said they suspected three females of taking cosmetic products about 6:30 p.m. Feb. 12. The employees thought the females took the packaged items into the bathroom, took the contents and left the packaging in the trash, but they did not have any evidence of concealment.
23A man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana at Bluemound and Moorland roads about 9:30 p.m. Feb. 14 after he was pulled over for deviating from his lane. An officer smelled fresh marijuana and the man admitted to recently smoking it. In his car, police found two bags of marijuana, a grinder and a glass pipe.
· An Elm Grove resident told police about noon Feb. 12 that she received a phone call from a scammer claiming to be her grandson and requesting money to bail him out of jail. She called her grandson and verified he was not in jail, and did not provide any personal information.
24A man was arrested for eluding an officer and drunken driving at Bluemound and Moorland roads about 2:45 a.m. Feb. 15. Police saw the man fail to obey a stop sign on Katherine Drive and Watertown Plank Road, travel south on Elm Grove Road at 75 to 80 mph in a 25-mph zone, then go west on Bluemound at more than 100 mph before being stopped at Moorland.
