City of Brookfield

BURGLARY

1About $556 was taken from an unlocked desk drawer and locked cabinets at The Fun Kids Dentist, 16655 W. Bluemound Road, between 4:30 p.m. April 11 and 9:30 a.m. April 14. It appeared someone used a pry tool to open a wooden door to get inside the business.

THEFT

2About $2,000 worth of American Express Business Gift Cards were taken from an office at QPS Employment Office, 250 N. Patrick Blvd., between March 27 and 3:30 p.m. April 15. The gift cards were used at various locations in Milwaukee to purchase about $1,500 worth of items before the theft was discovered.

3A parent believes someone took an iPad from her daughter's backpack at Fairview South, 3525 Bermuda Blvd., between 7:15 a.m. and 5 p.m. April 3.

4Two tires and rims valued at $4,920 were taken from the lot at Soerens Ford, 18900 W. Capitol Drive, between 6 p.m. April 12 and 11 a.m. April 14.

5A bike was reported taken from an underground garage in the 2800 block of North Brookfield Road the week of April 13 to 19.

6A man took four golf clubs, valued at $900, from Dunham's Sports, 17300 W. Bluemound Road, about 1:45 p.m. April 15.

7An American flag was taken from a residence in the 17500 block of Continental Drive between 3 p.m. April 15 and 1 p.m. April 16.

8A Ford Focus was taken from outside Flaunt Salon, 17700 W. Capitol Drive, between 4:30 and 8:15 p.m. April 16.

9A 15-year-old boy was arrested for retail theft and possession of marijuana at Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, about 6 p.m. April 17 after he tried to run but was caught by staff.

10A man was arrested for retail theft at 2315 N. 124th St. about 1 p.m. April 19. He had concealed two watches.

11Two girls, 15 and 17, were arrested for retail theft at JCPenney at Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, about 6:30 p.m. April 19.

IMPAIRED DRIVING

12A woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated at Calhoun Road and Civic Drive at 1:30 a.m. April 19.

13A Brookfield woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated, second offense, possession of Schedule II narcotics and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia at Calhoun and Gebhardt roads about 3:30 p.m. April 20.

ACCIDENTS

14Several vehicles were involved in a pile-up on eastbound Interstate 94 near Calhoun Road about 10:50 p.m. April 14. Some injuries were reported, cars were towed and traffic was shut down.

15A man had a seizure while driving a woman who was eight months pregnant, and ran into a tree in the 600 block of South Sunny Slope Road about 2:20 a.m. April 15. Both were taken to the hospital.

16A car exiting Kohl's Department Store, at 124th Street and North Avenue, hit a pedestrian, pinning her leg, about 12:30 p.m. April 15. She was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

OTHER

· A 13-year-old student at Pilgrim Park Middle School said someone sent her messages through a social media app called Kick that indicated they wanted to have sex with her. Her mother called police about 6:30 p.m. April 18, and police advised the girl to block the sender.

17A $500 glass patio table was smashed in the 2700 block of Tyein Place between 2 a.m. April 19 and 8 a.m. April 20.

18A 23-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he banged on the door of a house in the 4700 block of North 134th Street, trying to get inside, about 3 a.m. April 20. He was drunk and said he thought he was at his ex-girlfriend's house.

Town of Brookfield

THEFT

19Several car parts, together valued at more than $4,000, were taken from Acura of Brookfield, 19180 W. Bluemound Road, between 6 p.m. April 12 and 11 a.m. April 15.

20Two cars were broken into at the Melting Pot, 19850 W. Bluemound Road, between 6 and 9 p.m. April 14. A bag containing a Social Security card, sunglasses and phone chargers was taken from one car, and its window was shattered. From the other car, which had its rear window broken, a laptop, iPad, computer cables, sweater and backpack, together valued at about $2,000, were taken.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

21A Brookfield man was arrested for drunken driving at Bluemound and Brookfield roads about 11 a.m. April 14 after police found an empty vodka bottle where he had been parked at the former Menards, 20005 W. Bluemound Road. He told officers he had been in the lot "doing this unemployment thing." A breath test indicated a blood-alcohol content of 0.11.

22A Waukesha woman was arrested for drunken driving at Extended Stay America, 325 N. Brookfield Road, about 12:05 a.m. April 16 after witnesses reported she hit a parked car while leaving the Speedway Inn, 18815 W. Bluemound Road. A breath test indicated a BAC of 0.17.

23An Oconomowoc man was arrested for drunken driving at Bluemound Road and Plaza Court about 3:45 a.m. April 20 after he was seen deviating from his lane. A breath test indicated a BAC of 0.14.

Village of Elm Grove

OTHER

24A resident of the 12800 block of Meadow Drive called 911 about 11 a.m. April 16 to report a suspicious person on a lawn tractor was in her backyard. She then realized it was her lawn service.

25A young man wearing a backpack with a monster on it was reported crawling along a pathway in the 13600 block of Juneau Boulevard about 3:50 p.m. April 17, but police were unable to find him.
