CITY OF BROOKFIELD

Burglary

1A burglary was reported at 11:36 a.m. May 13 at 2665 N. 128th St. A woman reported that her ex-husband broke through her front porch door and damaged a lock at about 8:45 a.m. The man did not gain access to the residence. A neighbor reports having seen the ex-husband there that morning.

2A 42-inch television valued at $500 was taken from a home in the 14200 block of Woodland Place between 10:30 p.m May 16 and 2:30 a.m May 17. The owner woke up to find broken glass, the front door open and the TV gone.

Theft

3A dishwasher valued at $322 was stolen from a storage area in an underground parking garage at an apartment building at 1265 Club Circle, likely between April 21 and 30. The theft was reported at 9:47 a.m. May 14.

4About $300 was taken from cash boxes in a locked safe in a business office at Franciscan Woods, 19525 W. North Ave., between 4:43 p.m. May 9 and 6:55 a.m. May 12.

5A woman was charged with retail theft at Kohl's, 2315 N. 124th St. The theft took place at 12:18 p.m. May 12.

6An employee of Panera Bread, 2095 N. Calhoun Road, is suspected of taking steaks and three packages of cheese without paying for them May 11.

7A woman was cited for retail theft for taking $182 in clothing from JCPenney at Brookfield Square Mall, 95 N. Moorland Road, without paying at 1:55 p.m. May 15.

8A woman was arrested for theft and possession of drug paraphernalia at Boston Store, 15875 W. Bluemound Road. The incident took place at 2:09 p.m. May 15.

9A woman was arrested for theft for concealing children's clothes and leaving JCPenney at Brookfield Square Mall, 95 N. Moorland Road without paying. The incident took place at 7:42 p.m. May 15.

10A 17-year-old boy was arrested at 1:14 p.m. May 16 for retail theft for taking a book bag from JCPenney at Brookfield Square Mall, 95 N. Moorland Road.

11A 17-year-old girl was cited for theft at Burlington Coat Factory, 12575 Capitol Drive, at 3:36 p.m. May 16. She was seen selecting and concealing items. Upon being confronted, she admitted to intending to leave the store without paying.

12A 36-year-old man was arrested for theft after leaving Lid's at Brookfield Square Mall, 95 N. Moorland Road, with merchandise he hadn't paid for at 3:49 p.m. May 16. He also is accused of taking merchandise from the store May 10.

13A driver's license, $20 and a $400 digital camera were among the items taken when four cars were broken into or tampered with in the 1200 block of Brandywine Lane at 12:27 a.m. May 17.

14A purse was stolen at the Sheraton, 375 S. Moorland Road, at about 11:30 a.m. May 17. One of the credit cards in the purse was then used to make unauthorized purchases.

Drug offenses

15Two women were arrested for possession of drugs in the 2400 block of Pilgrim Road at 8:19 p.m. May 12. One woman was arrested for possession of marijuana while the other was arrested for possession of marijuana and K2, a synthetic marijuana.

16A 20-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana near 124th and Wirth streets at 10:19 p.m. May 17.

Impaired driving

17A 44-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving near Oak Hill Lane and Lilly Road at 12:54 a.m. May 17.

18A 34-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving in the 300 block of North Moorland Road at 3:35 a.m. May 17.

19A 30-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving in the 14600 block of Capitol Drive at 4 a.m. May 17.

Vandalism

20A window was broken on a construction vehicle in the 12400 block of Zinke Drive; it was reported at 1:07 p.m. May 18.

Other

21An employee at Rogers & Hollands Jewelers at Brookfield Square Mall, 95 N. Moorland Road, reported at 10:44 a.m. May 16 that a male had been calling the store and making sexual remarks to her and another female employee.

TOWN OF BROOKFIELD

Drug offenses

22A 19-year-old woman was arrested for possession of marijuana at Motel 6, 20300 W. Bluemound Road at 5:47 p.m. May 8. She was found to be in possession of 20.28 grams of marijuana.

23A 25-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant and for possession of drug paraphernalia in the form of a hypodermic needle near Bluemound and Barker roads at 11:44 p.m. May 13.

VILLAGE OF ELM GROVE

Impaired driving

24A man was arrested for drunken driving, failure to yield for an emergency vehicle and unsafe lane deviation near Ruf and Bluemound roads at 9:22 p.m. May 17. An officer first attempted to stop the vehicle near Bluemound and Moorland roads.

Domestic violence

Police made two arrests for domestic violence in the past week.
