Gala celebrates hospice's fifth anniversary

On an ideal late summer evening, supporters of AngelsGrace Hospice gathered at the Golden Mast on Okauchee Lake to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the hospice. The Walter L. and Grace M. Merten Charitable Trust presented the gala event. That trust is the multimillion dollar benefactor that allowed AngelsGrace to open its doors in 2004. See photos from this event.

Among others sponsoring the event were Gina and Mike White, Karen and Dick Bertrand, Grace and Peter Friend, and Kay Redmond.

Cohosting the benefit were Katie Bayliss and Tom Mann of the Town of Erin and Kathy Ledvina and Paul Jasinki of Waukesha. Their committee members included Karen and Dick Bertrand, George Chromy, Terry Holahan, Bob Schowalter, Gale and Dick Schwartz, Jessica Whelan, Gina and Mike White, and Gert Wilkinson, all of Oconomowoc; Kathie Strombom, Jan and Cliff Brooks and Fred Syrjanen, all of Waukesha; Cynthia Brehmer of Wales; Anne and Ray Foster of Oconomowoc Lake; Rick Heeren and Dawn Wollenzien of Pewaukee; Linda and Peter Geiss of Brookfield; Jeff Senglaub of Dousman; Deb Treis of Hartland, Wendi Unger of Hartford and Dee Weber of West Bend.

AngelsGrace is committed to providing end-of-life care to terminally ill people of all ages, regardless of their diagnosis or ability to pay. The funds raised at this benefit will be used to fulfill its mission to serve those with limited means.
