Passion for fashion makes fundraiser success

Television personalities Joyce Garbaciak and Sally Severson of WISN-TV 12 were the commentators at the recent luncheon and style show held by the Oconomowoc Woman's Club. Funds raised at the event are given to a number of charities. See photos from this event.

Those who worked on the committee presenting the event were co-chairwomen Jeanne Leitl and Nancy Andrews and Betty Olson, Mary Welnitz, Lisa Steinger, Cathie Knowlton, Joan Krueger, Donna Klohn, Georgia Gossett, Marilyn Largent, Karen Schweizer, Helen Hertneky,Barbara Puterbaugh and Kris Naber.

Fashions ran the gamut from leather coats to a bridal gown, all accessorized with purses and jewelry. Some were trimmed with fur and others with sequins. After watching the fashions, most of the women attending were ready to add something new to their wardrobe.

Some of the charities the club donates to include AngelsGrace Hospice, Hebron House, The Women's Center, ABCD (After Breast Cancer Diagnosis) Foundation, Humane Animal Welfare Society and Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital Foundation.

The club welcomes new members. It meets once a month from September to June at the Oconomowoc Lake Club for lunch followed by a short business meeting and a program. Gloria Teifke is the president.
