City of Brookfield

BURGLARY

1About $300 and credit cards were taken from a vehicle in an open garage in the 200 block of North 165th Street between 4 and 11:30 p.m. April 28.

THEFT

2About $15,000 worth of jewelry was taken from a home in the 500 block of Wilson Drive prior to Jan. 31.

3An 18-year-old Brookfield man was arrested for theft last week for taking a cell phone valued at $283 from the boys locker room at Brookfield East High School, 3305 Lilly Road, on March 26.

4An electric mandolin was taken from Cream City Music, 12505 W. Bluemound Road, between April 14 and 28. Loss is estimated at $1,900.

5Tools and shoes were reported taken from a vehicle in the impound lot at Dennis' Auto, 4435 N. 127th St., between April 18 and 26. Loss is estimated at $135.

6Tennis shoes, sandals, three pairs of gym shorts and two padlocks were taken from a locker at Wisconsin Hills Middle School, 18700 W. Wisconsin Ave., between April 20 and 23. Loss is estimated at $180.

7Eleven bottles of vodka were taken from Pick 'n Save, 15170 W. Greenfield Ave., at 1:44 p.m. April 29. Loss is estimated at $386.

DRUG POSSESSION

8A 21-year-old New Berlin man was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at Mary Knoll Park, 615 S. Sunny Slope Road, at 10:20 p.m. May 1. Police found 1.6 grams of the drug and a marijuana pipe in the man's vehicle during a search.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

9A 35-year-old Brookfield man was arrested for drunken driving at Brookfield Road and Corporate Drive at 2:01 a.m. April 30. He refused to take a breath test. He was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and for non-registration of a vehicle.

10A 28-year-old New Berlin man was arrested for drunken driving at Bluemound and Calhoun roads at 12:13 a.m. May 1. He refused to take a breath test.

11A 25-year-old Sanborn, Iowa, man was arrested for drunken driving at Bluemound and Moorland roads at 2:57 a.m. May 1. He has been convicted of drunken driving twice in the past. He refused to take a breath test.

VANDALISM

12The wall behind Symmetry Salon, 15770 W. Capitol Drive, was spray-painted between April 2 and 29.

OTHER

13A 46-year-old woman was arrested for forgery and obstruction after she tried to cash a fraudulent check for $662 at Park Bank, 14870 W. Greenfield Ave., at 9:43 a.m. April 26. The check was a fraudulent copy of a check from a Milwaukee attorney's office. Several other similar attempts to cash checks purportedly from that office were made in other communities.

14An 18-year-old Brookfield man was arrested for possession of stolen property at Brookfield East High School at 8:54 a.m. April 27. Police said he was selling a digital media player that had been stolen from the school's locker room on April 21.

15A 17-year-old Brookfield boy was arrested for underage drinking and possession of a controlled substance during a traffic stop at Dechant Road and Golf Parkway at 10:49 p.m. May 1. Police found 3.6 grams of marijuana in the vehicle. An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, both from Brookfield, were cited for underage drinking.

• The Brookfield Police Department responded to 55 calls last week.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

16A 39-year-old Arcadia woman was arrested for drunken driving and driving with a revoked license at Interstate 94 and Brookfield Road at 8:52 p.m. April 21. An open beer can and a marijuana pipe were found in the woman's possession. Blood was drawn to determine her blood-alcohol content. She also was cited for possessing drug paraphernalia, having open intoxicants in a vehicle and deviating from her lane. She has been convicted of drunken driving twice in the past.

17A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for his drunken driving and driving with a revoked license at Moreland Boulevard and Main Street at 2:33 a.m. April 25. Blood was drawn to determine his BAC. Additionally, he was cited for excessive window tinting. He has been convicted of drunken driving once in the past.

Village of Elm Grove

DRUG POSSESSION

18A 46-year-old Elm Grove man was arrested for possession of marijuana after police found 10.1 grams of the drug in the trunk of his car in the 2000 block of Hawthorne Drive at 12:20 p.m. April 30.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

19An 18-year-old Waukesha man was arrested for drunken driving at Bluemound and Sunny Slope roads at 3:46 p.m. April 28. Additionally, he was cited for marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and a seatbelt violation.

20A 24-year-old Brookfield man was arrested for drunken driving at Juneau Boulevard and Church Street at 4:41 a.m. May 2. His BAC was 0.22. Additionally, he was cited for failure to dim his high beams.

OTHER

21A 14-year-old Brookfield boy was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon after he brought a knife to Pilgrim Park Middle School, 1500 Pilgrim Parkway, at 12:33 p.m. April 26.

22A 17-year-old Waukesha girl and a 16-year-old Cudahy girl were cited for underage drinking during a traffic stop at Watertown Plank Road and Terrace Drive at 1:20 a.m. April 30.
