Why are there inactive left-turn arrows?
Issue: Several readers want to know why the left-turn arrows at the intersection of Calhoun Road and Civic Drive and the intersection of Calhoun and Gebhardt roads are inactive.
Status: Jeff Chase, city engineer, explained that the turn arrows are only inactive during times of day that there is not heavy use of the turn lanes. He explained that the arrows are used to redistribute traffic when needed.
