Judy E. Kim, M.D., professor of ophthalmology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, was inducted into the American Ophthalmological Society during the society's 150th annual meeting in New York. The AOS is limited to 275 active members and has included most of the notable luminaries in ophthalmology over the years. Dr. Kim is the first Korean-American ophthalmologist to become an AOS member.
Amy Lindner, a Wauwatosa resident and president and CEO of Meta House, has been chosen to attend a social enterprise course at Harvard Business School. Lindner received a scholarship from the Harvard Business School Club of Wisconsin to attend the week-long seminar, calledStrategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management, in July. Lindner is one of only four nonprofit leaders in Wisconsin who received scholarships from the club to attend courses at Harvard this summer. Christian Lie has been named CEO of Diversified Insurance Solutions, a full-service insurance brokerage firm. Lie, who has nearly 40 years of insurance and risk management services experience, joined Diversified in 2011 as president of the risk services group. He succeeds Robert Sowinski, who will continue to serve as vice-chairman of the board.
