City of Brookfield
1A racing bike valued at $4,500 was taken from a garage in the 1900 block of Lone Oak Circle prior to 8:59 p.m. Aug. 7.
2Six laptops and numerous tools were taken from Milwaukee Electric, 12905 W. Lisbon Road, between 3 p.m. Aug. 11 and 7:20 a.m. Aug. 12. Value estimates were not immediately available, though the owner of the business said the tools were valued at "hundreds of thousands of dollars." Access may have been gained by smashing a window.
3A 26-year-old Okauchee man was arrested for taking $450 worth of clothes from Kohl's, 2315 N. 124th St., at 3:37 p.m. Aug. 8.
4A catalytic converter was taken from a vehicle at Gordon's Service, 3595 N. 124th St., at 2:17 p.m. Aug. 9.
5A vehicle's door was dented in the 200 block of North Executive Drive prior to 3:35 p.m. Aug. 8.
6A 31-year-old Brookfield woman in the 14300 block of Newell Drive was cited for burning large tree stumps in her yard at 7:46 p.m. Aug. 7. The fire was left unattended, and members of the Brookfield Fire Department were called to extinguish it. At the time of the incident, the city of Brookfield was under a burning ban.
7Six high school-aged boys and girls were cited for underage drinking at a home in the 15500 block of Oak Lane at 2:25 a.m. Aug. 9.
8A 27-year-old Greenfield man was arrested for disorderly conduct and cited for resisting arrest at the Best Western Midway Hotel, 1005 S. Moorland Road, at 1:27 a.m. Aug. 11. Police responded to the hotel after receiving a complaint about the man causing a disturbance.
Police made three arrests related to domestic disputes last week.
Town of Brookfield
9A cellphone charger and about $15 in change were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 21000 block of Oak Ridge Court prior to 10 p.m. July 28.
10A bag containing a purse, cell phone, sundries and workout clothes was taken from a vehicle in the parking lot at Kmart, 18200 W. Bluemound Road, before 9:24 a.m. Aug. 7. Access was gained by smashing a window.
11A 26-year-old Dixon, Calif., man was found in possession of marijuana, but not cited, at Motel 6, 20300 W. Bluemound Road, at 1:16 p.m. Aug. 10. Upon further investigation, police learned the man was legally able to smoke the marijuana for medical reasons. Police consulted the Wisconsin Attorney General and Waukesha District Attorney offices before determining not to issue a citation. The man was warned about smoking in the motel, which is unlawful since a smoking ban went into effect more than two years ago.
12A 21-year-old Waukesha man was arrested for threatening another patron at the Majestic Cinema, 770 Springdale Road, at 9:49 p.m. July 25.
13An 18-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for underage drinking in the 100 block of Kossow Road at 12:14 a.m. July 27. His blood-alcohol content was 0.05.
14A 34-year-old Brookfield man was cited for having a bonfire in the 20800 block of Hawthorne Ridge Court at 9:09 p.m. July 28. At the time of the incident, the town of Brookfield was under a burning ban.
Village of Elm Grove
15A 40-year-old Brookfield man was arrested for drunken driving near Eastmoor Avenue and Bluemound Road at 10:34 p.m. Aug. 10. This was the man's third offense. His blood-alcohol content was 0.16. The man also was arrested on two warrants with the Elm Grove Police Department.
16A mailbox was struck by a vehicle in the 12700 block of Walnut Road between 12:15 and 1:01 p.m. Aug. 9.
17An 80-year-old Elm Grove woman living in the 12900 block of West Bluemound Road reported receipt of numerous harassing calls before 2:20 p.m. Aug. 11. Calls included a notification the woman won money from Publishers Clearing House and an offer to purchase stamps. Upon investigation, police revealed the caller was attempting to scam her. Officers instructed her to ignore any further calls from the phone number.
