SKY'S TAKE

Nov. 7, 2012

IN MY OPINION

When Brookfield East's senior all-conference wide receiver/defensive back Brian Smith went out with a leg injury in Friday's painful 24-14 loss to Whitefish Bay, the Spartans chances at victory followed him off the field. There aren't many 6-foot-4, 200-pound D-backs in high school football with Smith's speed. Classy East coach Tom Swittel said that the Spartans didn't lose the game because of that, but he said there was a momentum switch after that. Whitefish Bay faces top-rated Waunakee at 2 p.m. Saturday.

37 The season-average for Brookfield Central sophomore golfer Grace Dunn, a first-team All-Greater Metro Conference pick.
