Jr. Lancers girls spikers looking for club players
Brookfield Central Jr. Lancers Girls Volleyball Club is looking for players for the 2010 season.
All girls in the Brookfield Central attendance area entering fifth through eighth grades in the fall can attend a mandatory parent information meeting at 7 p.m. May 20 in the Wisconsin Hills Middle School cafeteria.
Parents will attend an informational meeting and the girls are invited to participate in volleyball in the gym.

Lancers gymnasts receive several all-state honors
Several Brookfield Central gymnasts received all-state honors from the Wisconsin High School Gymnastics Association.
Katelyn Malcore received first-team all-state honors for the balance beam in Division 1, and Taylor Bucholtz received second-team all-state honors for floor exercise in Division 1.
Academic all-state honors were awarded to Anna Knowles, Kelly Brusky, Elizabeth Tzortzos, Rachel Santulli, Bucholtz and Malcore.
Five Central golfers earn academic honors
The Wisconsin High School Golf Coaches Association named Brookfield Central's Ariel Goodman, Tricia Mark, Anne Parker, Andrea Schneider and Marissa Schlagenhauf academic all-state honorees for the fall 2009 season. To be honored, students must be at least a sophomore, have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.5 and have taken part in 75 percent or more of their varsity matches.
This year, 114 girls received the honor.
Central Baseball Mini-Camp to be held June 16 to 18
Brookfield Central baseball coach Jeff Bigler will head up the 2010 Brookfield Area Mini-Camp for kids 7 to 12 years old from June 16 to 18.
The camp is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the athletic fields behind Brookfield Central High School. The camp will be indoors if there is bad weather.
Campers must bring their own lunch and glove; a bat is optional. Drinks will be provided. The camp fee is $119, with $20 off for the second family member signing up for camp. For information about registration, call Jeff or leave a message at (262) 797-8391.
Central's boys basketball camps will be held in June
A one-week camp for players going into fourth through ninth grades will be from 12:30 to 4 p.m. June 14 to 18 at Central.
A shooting camp for kids who will be entering grades four through 12 will be held June 21 to 24. Session one is from 9 to 10:30 a.m., and session two is from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
A position camp for kids entering grades four through 12 will run June 28 to July 1. Session one will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m., and session two will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
A basketball camp for incoming second- and third-grade boys will be held at Central from 11 a.m. to noon June 14 to 18.

The Milwaukee Women's Basketball Fundamental Day Camp will take place from June 14 to 18 at the Klotsche Center.
