Container Gardening Workshop

May 20, 2011

On Tuesday, May 24th join older adults from the Brookfield and Elm Grove communities for a presentation entitled Container Gardening Workshop, to be held at 12:45pm at the Brookfield Senior Community Center (2000 N. Calhoun Rd., Brookfield). These monthly educational gatherings for older adults are offered on the 4th Tuesday of the month by the Elmbrook Area Older Adult Forum. Light refreshments will be served. Spring is here and summer is just around the corner! Not enough room for a traditional garden? You don’t want to miss this workshop. Learn how to create a garden that will fit your living space. Cindy Peters from Stein’s Gardens Center will share tips on how to create a beautiful garden using containers. Cindy started gardening as a small child and is certified by Scotts, Bonide and Bayer. She also serves as the assistant manager for Stein’s Garden Center on Capitol Drive.

 

The Elmbrook Area Older Adult Forum was developed by local professionals to help empower older adults and their families through education and support. Members of the Elmbrook Area Older Adult Forum include representatives from Brookdale Senior Living, Universal Services Movers for Seniors, Prestige Home Health Care, Brookdale Place of Brookfield, Osinga Law Office, Seasons Hospice, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, and Church and Chapel Funeral Homes.
