Courtyard is a large complex that houses many elders at 12250 W. North Ave. in Wauwatosa. On an evening, a few ladies and a gentleman got together for an old fashioned evening of stringing items onto yarn and fish line. Popcorn and Cranberries, Corncurls and Cheerios.
There was a bare, fir tree in front of the building that needed sprucing up for the Christmas Holiday.
On 10:00 AM, the Tuesday morning before Christmas, the building manager provided a Snowman and a Star for the top. She also brought a golden bow with ribbon hanging down for the center. Someone brought two large Poinsettia flowers for the front of the tree.
The group of women donned in their Santa hats, assisted by a son and daughter-in-law, with a ladder, did the trimming.
Pictures progressed from a tree unadorned to totally adorned. Pictures showed the tree on its own, and also complete with it trimming crew.
Our feathered friends seemed to catch on quite well, but the four-legged types had a bit more trouble getting to their cache. They did, however, make it.
Those included in the Project were: Marie, Irene, Charlotte, Betty, Eunice, Shirley, Joan, Lucille, Richard, Wilma, Jerry, Ginny.
See four photographs from the project.
