On Tuesday, March 26th, gather with other older adults from the Brookfield and Elm Grove communities for a presentation regarding healthy cooking. This presentation, entitled Enjoyable and Healthy Cooking for One or Two, begins at 12:45pm and ends at 2:00pm in the Brookfield Senior Community Care which is located at 2000 N. Calhoun Rd. in Brookfield. These monthly gatherings for older adults are offered on the 4th Tuesday of each month sponsored by the Elmbrook Area Older Adult Forum for the purpose of empowering older adults through education and support. Dana Kohlmann, Chef for Summit Woods in Waukesha, will share tips and suggestions for meal preparation that will save money but not sacrifice taste. Dana has shared her talents at restaurants, country clubs and assisted living communities. Come and sample some of Dana’s delectable treats.
The Elmbrook Area Older Adult Forum was developed by local professionals to help empower older adults and their families through education and support. Members of the Elmbrook Area Older Adult Forum include representatives from Brookdale Senior Living, Universal Services Senior Move Managers, Gentiva Home Health, Capri Senior Communities, Osinga Law Office Seasons Hospice, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Applewood Senior Living, Right At Home, and Church and Chapel Funeral Homes.
